How We Manage Real Estate Marketing
learn
Real estate developers have a lot going on. Not only are they taking a risk building on empty lots, but they also have a ton of upfront costs from construction to permitting to land prep. They also have to manage people from different departments like the architects, the construction workers, city officials, and real estate agents; marketing is often the last thing home development companies want to worry about.
Allowing experts to focus on smart marketing tactics is more than worth it to free up time to focus on the actual build. That’s why many new home development companies task a marketing agency to help.
Here at RhinoHub, we’ve worked with a number of developers in the Reno/Tahoe area to showcase and help sell their new homes. This is what we’ve learned works with real estate marketing.
Planning
The first thing we do with all of our clients, no matter the industry, is to make a marketing plan. That includes listing out deliverables, making an editorial calendar, doing keyword research, and checking out the competition.
We are always transparent with our clients so everyone is on the same page from day one!

Digital Strategies
When it comes to real estate marketing ideas, we pride ourselves on our digital expertise. Here is what we do for real estate clients on the world wide web.
Website
The most important thing in this day and age is to have a website. And not just any website. A new development company needs a website that is technically sound including:
- Being responsive on both desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Is fast and dynamic
- Has all the technical SEO bells and whistles including:
- Meta titles
- SEO page titles
- Snippets
- Image alt text
- Schema markup
A good real estate website also features exclusive, high-quality (but compressed) photography and video, consistent and unique branding, and user experience (UX) design.
Lucky for our clients, that’s what we’re good at!
Google Ads
The next digital tactic that we have had success with is PPC campaigns, especially with Google Ads. By targeting the right audience in the right areas using the right keywords, we have gotten our clients quality real estate leads.
We also have had good success with remarketing campaigns on Google Ads. We create high-quality digital and search advertisements that are served to people who have already visited the website to attempt further engagement. It’s a way to keep in touch with customers who are already interested- think of it as digital follow-up!
Blogging
Having a good blog is important for many reasons. Not only does it alert the Google algorithms that you are updating content on your website, but it shows that you are staying relevant in your industry and providing a valuable resource to users (all things Google rewards websites for when it comes to SEO!)
Blogging on localized keywords is extra beneficial. What do you think potential home buyers search for first? What areas to live in! Making lists of bars and restaurants, hikes or walks, or other nearby amenities to the new development can be great for SEO!
It can be hard to compete with Zillow, Trulia, and Redfin when it comes to SEO, but that’s where long-tail keyword inquiries come in! Utilizing the blog to answer queries like what’s it like living in x can bring some valuable traffic! Plus, blogs are the bread and butter to a sound content marketing strategy that coincides with social media and email newsletters!
Social Media
The next digital tactic we help our clients manage is social media. Obviously, social media platforms are a great tool to communicate with audiences. But getting creative with marketing tactics through social media posts and hashtags goes a long way!
What if your company did a live stream on Facebook of an open house? Or featured a time-lapse of construction in an Instagram story? Utilizing social media advertising is also a digital marketing tactic that can be quite successful. By taking a known homebuyer’s demographic information, we can create Facebook lookalike audiences to target similar individuals who may be interested in buying a home.
Perhaps you run an #AskARealtor campaign once a week where potential homebuyers can ask realtors questions. Or maybe you create a quiz on what makes a perfect home? What about an infographic on the state of the local real estate market? The opportunities to get creative on social media are endless.
Email Marketing
Though email marketing is almost considered an “old” strategy, it still works! Emails are a great way to keep your audience updated with news about development from the release of new floorplans to new homes for sale.
Sending blogs or social media marketing campaigns through email newsletters is also a great way to get your work out through different platforms. Having your brand’s presence in multiple places on the world wide web also helps with search engine optimization (SEO) ranking!

Traditional Strategies
Though we consider ourselves a digital marketing agency at RhinoHub, we have been helping businesses with how they present themselves for a long time now. That means using traditional marketing strategies that complement our online marketing efforts.
Creative Mailers
Print is not dead! While print advertisements are harder to track than digital campaigns, they can still be quite powerful. In fact, according to a study by the Center for Neural Decision Making at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, people still respond to mail and even pay more attention to physical advertisements than digital ones.
That means well-designed print mailers sent to the right audience can produce quality lead generation. Adding a tracking phone number or offering a deal if the recipient brings in the mailer are good ways to track success!
Quality Signage
Another traditional marketing service we offer our real estate clients is well-designed and high-quality signage. From banners to flags to metal logos for a sales office, we can do it all. After all, your signs represent your homes- they need to well-made and stand out!

Business Cards
Everyone in a well-respected company needs a business card! Having a well-made, creative business card is even better. When the employees in your company are proud to hand out their business cards, then they are working well for you.
We have made some super creative business cards in our day.
PR
PR stands for public relations. And while it can be argued that everything we do is helping relationships with the public, PR also stands for press releases. Here at RhinoHub, we work on releasing news about our clients through non-traditional channels like blogs, online media, and even through influencers.
Our modern approach to PR has been super beneficial to our real estate and home development clients!
Print Magazines/Brochures
Another creative marketing idea is to produce a high-quality magazine that contains valuable content for each development. We have seen success with our larger clients that may have multiple developments in completely different areas or even states.
The magazines feature information about the area including demographics, schools, weather, and so much more. Paired with beautiful imagery, the magazines feel like a more substantial and more exclusive brochure. However, we also help clients create simple informational brochures as well!
The more information your new development can give potential homebuyers, the better!
